A comparison was made between 129 patients with isolated oligodontia and 22 with oligodontia-ectodermal dysplasia. The last group showed more disturbances in dental development. The abnormal shape of incisors and canines in a patient with oligodontia can raised suspicions for accompanying ectodermal abnormalities.
